The VIVALP living lab in Courchevel to present its first results
On Monday, October 13, the VIVALP living lab gathered in Courchevel for its annual seminar, hosted by the Société des 3 Vallées, to discuss Nature-based Solutions being tested in the region.
The municipality of Les Belleville presented the reconnection of the Peclet stream with the Plan de l’Eau bog, and then André Evette presented the riverbank restoration work carried out in this area with the assistance of Juliette Rousset. He also presented the restoration work on a trail located in the Vanoise National Park in Pralognan, carried out with the assistance of the technical services of this protected area, represented by Vincent AUGE.
Zoé Reverdy, Lény Calo‘, Thomas Souyris, and Nicolas Fermon, interns at the VIVALP Trois Vallées living lab, came to present their findings to local stakeholders in order to engage in direct dialogue with them. Their reports and internship summaries are available here.
It was a great day for VIVALP, marking the transition to a new phase of the living lab: analyzing the data collected during the experimentation and interview phases in order to share the findings with stakeholders and work with them to assess opportunities for implementing these Nature-based Solutions.
See you on May 26 for a site visit as winter winds down to take stock of what worked in terms of slope restoration!
