Extension of the CHAIRS call deadline: international chairs for Nature-based Solutions

The CHAIRS project supports innovative and collaborative research on Nature-based Solutions (NbS) by welcoming outstanding international researchers to French host laboratories.

To give everyone the opportunity to prepare their application, the deadline for submitting letters of intent has been extended to April 24, 2026.

Selected candidates will develop a joint research and teaching project, fully integrated into the host institution, and contributing to the advancement of NbS science and training.

Each Chair includes:

• 24 months of salary

• a three-year contract for a doctoral thesis or a two-year contract for an early-career postdoctoral researcher

• one Master’s (M2) internship grant

• €70,000 to support research activities

• €20,000 for travel expenses

Candidates must submit a research project in partnership with a French host laboratory, describing the research challenges, scientific hypotheses, methodology and expected outcomes.
