Mapping the projects and research actors on Nature-based Solutions in France

Despite preliminary work that has mapped research actors in biodiversity*, the research strengths on Nature-based Solutions (NbS) remain scattered and, consequently, difficult to identify and mobilize. The research program will map these strengths in France in an innovative way, using a unique and evolving database. Local, national, or European/international research projects, associated academic and non-academic actors, as well as NbS implementation projects in the field will be cataloged.

Projects and actors related to certain key issues of the program (including climate change) will be specifically identified. This action, led by our operational team, will involve collaborations with partners who have a strong knowledge of NbS projects in France, such as IUCN France, CDC Biodiversité, OFB, etc. This mapping will allow interaction with the entire French NbS community and help adapt the program’s strategy.
