Around 500 participants

The French National Research Program on Nature-based Solutions (SOLU-BIOD) and NetworkNature are hosting, for the first time in France, an international congress on Nature-based Solutions. Taking place from 3 to 6 November 2026 at Sorbonne University in Paris, this event will serve as a meeting place for around 500 researchers, practitioners, city representatives, and decision-makers from the NbS community.

Together, we will exchange on science, practice and policy, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across the international network. The congress will support the uptake of NbS on the ground and promote peer-to-peer learning among attending cities.

This international and cross-sectoral congress aims to bridge science and practice, equipping researchers, practitioners,  city leaders, and decision-makers with the knowledge and tools to drive ecological, territorial, and governance transitions, while strengthening co-production with governments, businesses, and local communities to advance Nature-based Solutions worldwide.

Program

The NbS International Congress 2026 will take place over four days, each dedicated to a key theme designed to foster exchanges between all the different actors.
